ICCA Congress 2023 in Thailand Biggest in Asia Pacific and 3rd Largest in 62-year History

Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), with Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) representing Host City, hosted the ICCA Congress 2023 Bangkok, Thailand from 12-15 November at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. 

The congress breaks a record with over 1,100 delegates from more than 80 countries worldwide, making it the largest ICCA Congress ever held in the Asia-Pacific region and the third largest in the 62-year history of ICCA Congresses.

International Congress and Convention Association or ICCA is one of the world’s most important associations in the global meetings industry. Its 1,000 plus members represent more than 10,000 conventions worldwide. 

The congress was a stellar opportunity for Thailand to welcome the delegates, comprising ICCA members, business events leading suppliers and members of the press, from around the world and showcase the country’s capacity and capability as host destination. Team Thailand also demonstrated a strong commitment to sustainability by reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 505 tons through all domestic activities. The ICCA Congress 2023’s legacy will be “Bangkok Pledge on Gastronomy Sustainability by ICCA”. Using the Congress’s sustainable food sourcing and food waste management as model, TCEB and ICCA will be working together to launch the pledge in 2024.
