With the continued decrease of COVID-19 severe symptoms patients, death rate and infections and the successful reopening of Thailand, the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has announced the termination of the Emergency Decree nationwide, including all regulations, announcements, and orders issued by the Prime Minister and the Cabinet under the decree. The termination is effective from 30 September 2022 onwards, thus, bringing the situation back to normalcy.
The Ministry of Public Health, meanwhile, has declared COVID-19 a communicable disease under surveillance as stipulated by Communicable Diseases Act, B.E. 2558 (2015). The declaration is effective from 1 October 2022 onwards to provide public health services in normal conditions and ensure sufficient availability of COVID-19 vaccines for possible requirements.
