Bangkok hosted Publish Asia 2015 during 28-30 April at Centara Grand Hotel@CentralWorld Bangkok, enhancing the profile of Thailand as a three time host of this regional event.
Publish Asia 2015 was honored by the presence of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-Cha (third from right) who presided over the 15th Asian Media Awards Gala Dinner of the Publish Asia 2015 annual regional conference on April 29. Key sponsors of the event are Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) which was represented by the President, Mr. Nopparat Maythaveekulchai (second from right), Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Thai Airways International.
Publish Asia 2015 is the third regional publishing event that WAN-IFRA, the global organization of the World’s Newspaper and News Publishers, has entrusted Thailand with the host mission, following Publishing Asia 2002 and Publishing Asia 2011. In 2013 Thailand also hosted WAN-IFRA’s 63rd Annual World Newspaper Congress, 20th World Editors Forum and 23rd World Newspaper Advertising Forum.
This year the event featured CEO Conference, Advertising Summit, Newsroom Summit, Printing Summit, Master Classes or Education Workshop and Networking Session. The core theme was the strategies of publishing industry amid the transformation into digital age and multiple-media environment.
WAN-IFRA currently represents over 18,000 publications and 15,000 online sites and over 3,000 companies in more than 120 countries.
