26 November 2019 The Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) has recently showcased the best picture of Thailand as a premier venue for international trade shows in its “Focus on Thailand” session in the UFI Global Congress 2019. The “Focus on Thailand” session presented Thailand as the world of business opportunities and business connection, 

TCEB has organised the “Focus on Thailand” session in partnership with the Thai Exhibition Association (TEA) to showcase Thailand as a dynamic platform of international trade shows and a premier exhibition destination). The session feature business opportunities in Thailand with a presentation of “Government Policy to Move Forward MICE Industry in Thailand”.

In the session, there was a panel discussion by high-profile speakers from around the world. They include speakers from Koelnmesse, VNU Worldwide and Taurus Asia. In the discussion entitled “Trust in Thailand: Best Practices Reinforcing Successful Partnership”, the panellists have shared their experiences in collaboration with Thai companies in staging international trade shows in Thailand

The panel discussion highlighted the key points of the best practices to make successful business partnerships in Thailand. They will cover the Ease of Doing Business, government support schemes, and strong support from the Thai Exhibition Association.

Besides, the “Focus on Thailand” session gathered local industry and exhibition professionals from various sectors. They included the organisers whose shows are growing fast in Bangkok and other MICE Cities. During the Focus on Thailand, there also be a business-matching session which held in the form of speed dating among Thai and foreign entrepreneurs which resulted in; 
  • Over 250 delegates participated in the forum
  • Generating more than 600 million baht from over 200 business-matching 
  • The business-lead will bring 20 events into Thailand, 
  • The business-lead are come from various sector including energy, food, smart devices, automotive, security, medical, health and wellness, construction and education.
The ‘Focus on Thailand’  also enhance Thailand’s image and the confidence of doing business in Thailand declaring the readiness o Bangkok and Thailand as the host country of global events and emphasising the position of Thailand as the heart of International exhibition in ASEAN
